The breaker was a project for a friend who needed a good hatchet for hunting and quartering. This design is a classic with a few upgrades. He wanted holes in the back to connect to a carabiner for quick access. He also wanted a handle that would not slip when his hands are covered in blood. The steel is 1095 heat treated and tempered back. It has stainless pins and tubing and rubber handles made from high density rubber. It's the same rubber used in floor matting and horse stalls so it will take a beating and it shapes like wood or g10. A quick release guard is made from .06 kydex.
