Custom Show Knife Project
This is a custom project I was contracted to make as a surprise present. She really gave me free reign for the design and only said "she wanted it to look tough and kind of fantasy." She also wanted a "big loop hole" at the end. I drew out the design and went to work. The knife is made of 440c stainless steel and has blue and black layered micarta handles with stainless pins and tubing. (The owner chose the handles) The spine features diamond pattern filework. I wanted the filework to look like it diminished as it traveled down the back of the knife. It also has heavy jimping across the top both in front and behind the thumb rest for added grip security. This is the final product. It also has a custom kydex sheath but I failed to take pictures of that. You'll find more pictures below of the knife in making and more of the finished product.
